Interior Furnishings Replacement

The various upholstered interior cushions were all made by the factory with a loose fitting floral and unusual fabric. low in cost and unattractive. We decided that we wanted to go with more of a leather look but in an easier to maintain vinyl.

After selecting an upholsterer we simply removed each cushion, some were screwed to the boat, other were just fitted and we took them to the upholsterer to be used as patterns to make the new pieces.

We are still waiting on the new pieces to be finished so I dont have pictures at this time.

Instrument Panel Update

The lower level instrument panel on this boat originally featured: LORAN, FloScan Fuel Flow Meter, Uniden VHF Radio, Depth Meter, Boat Systems LED Alarm Panel. As the top row contains the analog engine temperature, RPM, Sync, Etc... and I didn't want to get into replacing all that at this time. I decided to focus on the lower level instruments to add some more capability to the boat.

The instruments that I am changing to:
  • Raymarine ES78 Multi-function Display.
  • Raymarine 40 Autopilot Control for Powerboats.
  • Raymarine Ray70 VHF Radio w/ AIS w/ GPS
One of the big challenges of doing this is finding a tool that can cut through a combination of gel-kote, fiberglass & marine plywood all glued together like a warm cantankerous tool destroying sandwich.
